The Sound and Light show of the Historiales, a spectacular night show.

This historical sound and light show will immerse you in the heart of the revolt of the canuts.

After the first revolt of the canuts repressed in blood in 1831, the 8,000 master craftsmen of silk, called canuts, the 30,000 companions and workers, often women, their apprentices, revolted again in 1834. The manufacturers-traders want lower wages and refuse the tariff which is a guaranteed wage.

The situation is precarious, they work by the piece or on demand, are subject to the goodwill of manufacturers in an increasingly liberal economy. We die of hunger, fatigue, exhaustion among the people of the canuts.

Among them, a family, the one of Marius and his wife Jeanne who died of tuberculosis, their daughters Rose, Victorine and Clémence subjected to the whims of Lebigan, the damned soul of Lorget and Lorrain, manufacturers. Johannes, their companion, will carry the revolt, come up against the manufacturers, their clerk Lebigan whom he will kill to defend Clémence, Rose and especially Victorine of whom he is in love, against this "predator".

The revolt will end in blood, on a last barricade on the slopes of La Croix-Rousse.

In this show, in addition to the conflicts between canuts and manufacturers-traders, we will also and above all see living families, the one of Marius and Jeanne, we will hear the bistanclac-pan of the trades, we will see living the joyful people of the Croix Rousse, with all the banter of women, all these moments of shared little pleasures. We will hear them express themselves in this Lyonnais speech so rich in expressions that we still find today. We will find Guignol in an extraordinary little show, we will laugh with Finassu the hunchback, we will revolt with Clémence and Johannes, we will cry over the final tragedy.

The sound and light show of the Historiales, it is 2 hours of great spectacle, 100 actors, 150 costumes, 1000m² of stage space, an exceptional decor, music, pyrotechnics, video projection...

The Historiales sound and light show has been bringing great moments of the history of France to life for more than 30 years. It is one of the biggest nocturnal shows in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region.

A sound and light show for all ages, located 55 minutes from Lyon and Grenoble and 25 minutes from Chambéry, Belley and Voiron.
